I believe this is a juvenile or female Rufous-gorgeted Flycatcher. Can anyone confirm? Thanks

Why not a Red-throated or Red-breasted Flycatcher?

the ventrals seem much too dark and there is a whitish gorget. I also thought about that first, but started to doubt, due to the breast color.

I don't think this is Rufous-gorgeted.  The female should be much darker, and I suspect that juvenile at this time should looks a lot like adult.  Also, the bill seems to be too big for Rufous-gorgeted.

I don't think it is Rufous-gorgetted. But the uppertail coverts look quite pale brown even for Red-breasted Flycatcher but overall I would still guess it is a female Red-breasted Flycatcher.

Female Rufous-gorgeted Flycatchers have rusty secondaries as can be seen in that photo. The bird question doesn't show that.

I'd vote for Red-throated Flycatcher - there seems to be something in front of the rear body of the bird in the first photo, giving the rear body a beige shade. However the rump is still darker than the tail, which looks good for Red-throated. As Brendan mentioned the lack of hazel wing panel should point away from Rufous-gorgetted.

but still find it a bit confusing, as a white or red throat is one feature of the bird which is described in field guides, and which this bird doesn't have...
Anyway, that's why I was asking for confirmation... Thanks

The colours seem quite odd and I'm not sure how true they are.  However, based on the fact that the uppertail coverts are darker than the tail and that the loer mandible is largely dark, I would say this is Red-throated.

These are natural colors from my camera, no modification or enhancement of any sort and no cropping, which is why I got confused myself... Also the behaviour was slightly different from what I observed usually for taiga flycatcher (no constant hopping of the tail and staying quite high in the trees). However, I only saw the bird for 30 seconds or so, as it was very active and left quickly.
