When looking for Chinese White Dolphins on Friday off the west coast of Lantau Island, I noticed these two Black-headed Gulls sitting on refuse.
It is easy to see that the right one is noticably bigger than the left one
I understand the bigger one is probably from the Siberian population (ssp
sibericus?). Has anyone similar photographs showing this ssp?
We also saw at least seven Chinese White Dolphins
I can recommend HK Dolphin Watch trips to see the dolphins. They go on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Kowloon or Tung Chung Pier, and are the best chance to see these dolphins given the disturbance from the Zhuhai road construction.
They are expensive but give you another free trip if they fail to find the dolphins on your first try.
