Shui Long Wo, 2014-Jul-20, afternoon

Just a casual walk from Shui Long Wo to Yung Shue O.
In the very beginning, I saw a bird wave compositing of:

Japanese White-eye
Rufous-capped Babbler
Red-whiskered Bulbul
Streak-breasted Scimitar Babbler 3
White-rumped Shama

從水浪窩至榕樹澳，剛起步遇上一鳥浪，有:

暗綠繡眼鳥
紅頭穗鶥
紅耳鵯
棕頸鉤嘴鶥 3
白腰鵲鴝

Should we take any action to control it?

This species has occurred as an ex-captive bird in HK before (HK List Cat III). Of course we should always be concerned that exotic species may be introduced to HK and become established, but perhaps this is not one of the more likely ones as I beleive that it is imported because of its song. Thus it is largely males which are imported.

Of course we should really be seeking to get the cage bird trade in wild birds banned completely for both conservation and human health reasons.
