Greetings all.
A two-hour walk at dawn through Long Valley produced (among more common species):
1 Greater Painted Snipe
6 Pintail/Swinhoe's Snipe
15 Black-Winged Stilts
2 Green Sandpipers
1 Juvenile Chinese Goshawk
40-50 Yellow Wagtail (in two large flocks)
3 Pallas' Grasshopper Warblers
The Goshawk and Warblers were the first of the season for me.
Take care,
Wes Homoya
