Hybrid (?) Wigeon

Nice pictures, Owen !

This possible hybrid Eurasian/American wigeon was seen on the outgoing Mai Po tide today. The creamy-coloured crown stripe is visible at a long distance.

I didn't have my camera with me today, I'll have to try harder at the weekend !
