信天翁爸爸媽媽在太平洋海面見到載浮載沉的塑膠物體以為是食物，便帶回巢餵幼鳥吃，幼鳥亦照單全收，但由於消化不了，亦無法排出，結果胃被塑膠塞滿，吃不下其他食物，活生生餓死。死後身體腐化，但塑膠物料仍在，實在可悲。
這系列圖片由美國藝術家Chris Jordan 於2009年發表, 藉此喚起人們對消費主義和經濟發展的影響的反思。

These photos are taken by an American artist Chris Jordan in 2009.
"On Midway Atoll, a remote cluster of islands more than 2000 miles from the nearest continent, the detritus of our mass consumption surfaces in an astonishing place: inside the stomachs of thousands of dead baby albatrosses. The nesting chicks are fed lethal quantities of plastic by their parents, who mistake the floating trash for food as they forage over the vast polluted Pacific Ocean." Thanks for highlighting the threat to seabirds of discarded plastic.
I assume many of you have seen these pictures from the March tsunami that hit  Midway and some of the positive human efforts to salvage things where possible.
