There is another Marten's Warbler at Aberdeen Country Park originally found by cyanophile. I understand this bird has been in this location for a while now. My thanks cyanophile for letting me know about this bird and telling me the location!!!
Calls: Heard 3 times. Reminded of very soft Dusky Warbler. Similar to what Geoff recorded for the Pak Sha O bird.
Location: From the end of Aberdeen Reservoir Rd in Aberdeen. There are two gated roads at start of Aberdeen Country Park. Take left road (toward Aberdeen uppper reservoir). Almost immediately you will see sign for kids walk on your right. Walk about 50 meters more. On your left there is a railing but you will see a break in the railing where a small stone path goes up the hill side. I entered this small stone path and saw the bird almost immediately.
Incidentally after seeing this bird and the bird at Pak Sha O on Saturday, I am almost positive the bird I saw on Hatton Rd at Lung Fu Shan a week was also
Seicercus omeiensis due to the complete, thin eyering, extent of grey below the lateral crown stripe, reletively dull underparts and the lack of a wingbar. The only difference I noticed between the bird today and the one at Lung Fu Shan was the amount of white in the tail seemed greater on the LFS bird. Perhaps that was only because the bird had its tail spread while I observed it. Perhaps there is an influx of this species this winter.
