Went to Jiang Xi Wuyishan for a 5 days trip, thanks for Mr. Lin for showing us all these beautiful birds. we saw a total of 109 species of birds, including those seen in other places in Jiang Xi.

Special Species includes Cabot's Tragopan and White-necklaced Partridge. Also, a possible Wood Warbler was seen inside a wave of birds for about 3 minutes, though we were not able to take a photo of it. It was a very pale green warbler with no marks or wingbars on it's body, with a yellow browed and throat and a white lower body extending to it's throat, it was also pale legged and about 12cm in length.

A great trip with all the targeted birds seen.

The views up on Wuyishan were spectacular with exceptionally clear sky.

For the last day, we traveled from Wuyishan back down to the lowlands towards Po Yang lake and back to Nan Chang. On the way we saw more birds.

The highlight of the day was a great flock of Whiskered and White-winged Terns feeding on a fishpond, it was a great opportunity to take some flying photos.

It was a great trip indeed!! Though they are saying Wuyishan is going to be close very soon for military use, so this may be the last chance to go!!

The frog may be a Piebald Odorous Frog Odoorrana schmackeri 花臭蛙

The second lizard belongs to the genus Takydromus and may be of species Northern grass lizard Takydromus septentrionalis 北草蜥

The snake should belong to the genus Pseudoxanodon and may be of species Oblique scale snake Pseudoxenodon macrops 斜鱗蛇

The Rickett's Hill Prtridge pic may be the first ever!

I agree with Pippen that the eagle is not Black but I think it is a Mountain Hawk Eagle.

Thanks Mike n Pippen for the suggestions, but I think Mike is correct!! On that day we were only able to had a side on view of the eagle, Mr.Lin said it was a Black Eagle. I took the pictures quickly, but thought for a second it was not a Black Eagle, but since I have not have many experience of either Black Eagle or Mountain Hawk I couldn't really tell. Thanks for Mike for the correction!!One more new tick for us!! n the total bird count for the trip add up to 110!!

here is another picture of the eagle, which now you can see the patterns on it's belly and a clear view of the pale rump.

Looking through these pix again  - I think the one of Rickett's Hill Partridge may be the first ever, but the one I love is of the furry feet of Asian House Martin.

Thank You zshrike and Mike!!I have searched around and all the Photos of Rickett's Hill Partridge were all of captive. And that photo of the Asian House Martin was a juv. that just left it's nest but found out that it couldn't fly, so it just hopped along the floor. When we walked towards it, the poor creature just stood there and gave up trying to fly.
