Dear all,
Thanks for Paul Leader's ID correction. I remembered he led me to see the Narcissus Flycatcher years ago. Fei and I took few photos of her after waiting under the trees for few hours. Some of members felt excited of the these photos too. We felt very appreciated. Thanks again Paul.
In past few years, I almost go to Mai Po only for bird photography because I believe that this is the best place to take photos of my beloved large raptors, i.e. Imperial Eagle, Spotted Eagle, Bonelli's Eagle etc. So most of time I always stayed at the inner hides instead of broadwalk but most of times I ended up with no photos taken.
In 2006 winter, I got a chance to meet an audlt Imperial Eagle at close distance. I was very excited and extremely happy. Unfortunately, I missed the magic shots when he filed across at the closet distance. I run out of battery. My wife told me to take it easy because you could get it next week. However, until now, I had not had this chance again.
For the Steppe Eagle, I used to believe that this is an Imperial Eagle Juvenile (I had quite a many of them). I used to prefer this was an adult Imperial Eagle after few years of waiting. By all means I am more than happy to know this is a rare HK vistor. It is certainly another reward to me. Anyway, thanks everyone here for your appreication and ecnouragement, and espeically my wife's (and my children) support to allow me to disappear very early in many Saturday mornings.
Cheers
Daniel
