For those interested in waders within the EAA flyway, the Miranda Naturalist Trust from New Zealand carried out a wader survey in April 2009 along a 30km stretch of coast inside the Mundok Migratory Birds Wetland Reserve in DPRK.
Several species were recorded in numbers meeting the Ramsar designation criteria. However they did not find a single Red Knot, a species which by most accounts appears to be in rapid decline.
