Details of the Tai Lam Chung Reservoir Outing to be held on 16 Jan 2011 as below:-

Date: 16/1/2010 Sunday
Gathering place: 08:00 Intersection of Siu Lam Road
Time: 8:00 - 12:00
Target Species: Forest birds

Free of Charge for all members.
HK$30 for non-member.

from Kwai Fong MTR stations, get off at Siu Lam Tsuen or Police Quarters

from Tsuen Wan MTR station, get off at Siu Lam Tsuen or Police Quarters

Transportation:

From Kowloon:
1) Prince Edward MTR station (exit E) or Lai Chi Kok MTR station (exit A1), and then take KMB 52X, get off at “Tai Lam Chung Police Quarters”, and then cross the road to reach to the gathering place.

2) Kwai Fong MTR station (exit C) or Tai Wo Hau MTR station (exit B), take KMB 61M, get off at “Tai Lam Chung Police Quarters”, and then cross the road to reach to the gathering place.

From Tuen Mun or Yuen Long:
3) Yuen Long MTR station, find Yuen Long Bus Terminus, and then take KMB 53, get off at “Tai Lam Chung Police Quarters”.

4) Tuen Mun MTR station (exit C or B), find 4-26, Ming Wai Buildling at Tuen Mun Heung Sze Wui Road, and then take Green mini bus no. 43B, get off at “Siu Lam Tsuen Lo (Road)”. http://www.i-busnet.com/minibus/nt/r43b.php

從九龍︰
1) 太子港鐵站(E出口)或荔枝角港鐵站(A1出口)，乘52X巴士，在“大欖涌警察宿舍”巴士站下車，再經過馬路前往集合地點。

2) 葵芳港鐵站(C出口)或大窩口港鐵站(B出口)，乘61M巴士，在“大欖涌警察宿舍”巴士站下車，再經過馬路前往集合地點。

從屯門或元朗︰
3) 元朗港鐵站，元朗(東)巴士總站，乘53巴士，在“大欖涌警察宿舍”巴士站下車。

4) 屯門港鐵站(C或B出口)，前往屯門鄉事會路明偉樓對出位置，乘綠色小巴43B，於“小欖村路”下車。http://www.i-busnet.com/minibus/nt/r43b.php

About 40 join the outing today.  Thank to Jimmy and William for helping to take the outing.  47 species were seen, including a Eurasian Woodcock, Black Bulbul, and a Eagle which can be Bonelli's Eagle.  Here are the group photo and bird list:

So that strange Eagle that flew out very briefly is Bonelli's Eagle, guessed right by Jimmy and William.  Thanks to Wilson, the very quick photographer who got the photo in just a few seconds.

After updating the list, the count rise to 52 species.  I have to thank all the participants, that is a very enjoyable outing.
