Canon DSLR for Bird Photography

Canon DSLR for Bird Photography

I plan to buy a Canon DSLR for bird photography.

After reading many local and foreign articles I found out that 7D, 50D, and 450D are the most commonly used cameras. From the photos I've seen on the Internet, the qualities of photos taken by all three cameras are not that different, at least I think so.

Of course the most recommended choice is 7D. Yet, my budget prohibits me from this.

I am in a dilemma of choosing between 50D & 450D. A friend told me that both of them are of similar quality so I should choose the cheaper one. Though I also saw beautiful photos from the Internet taken by 450D (there are even wonderful birds in flight shots), I am still finding evidence of choosing the 450D.

However, a lot of reviews and comments point out that 50D is way better.

I am now turning around and I would like to have your opinions about the 50D & 450D, preferably from the users.

Many thanks.

Thanks both of you. Very useful information.

the 450D is now out of my choice. Thanks for your help.

Otherwise, money will not be wisely spent.
