Brown shrike

Interesting shrike..
There was a Red-backed Shrike in Taiwan last week, here is the discussion http://nc.kl.edu.tw/bbs/showthread.php?t=46152&page=10
I am just an inexperienced birder/ birdwatcher/ twitcher/ photographer with no long lens.

I agree, Red-backed Shrike on basis of long primary projecion, slender bill, rufous upperparts, extensive retained juvenile feathering, clear white fringe to outer tail feathers, rather square cut tail, very white underparts with balckish scaling on flanks, and well defined super.

This would be the third HK record.

Dare I ask whereabouts at Long Valley this was seen?
