Looking for artists for book cover

Looking for artists for book cover

I am thinking using original paintings of birds as the book cover in the 4 booklets that I am preparing.  I prefer Chinese-style paintings.  Any relevant species will do but preference will go to attractive species or endangered species that are important to China.  For example, Green Peafowl is probably a good one for the booklet about pheasants in China.  Here is a list of highly endangered species in China for the 4 booklets.

Mackinnon        Chinese        English        Status        Booklet

469        白背兀鹫        White-rumped Vulture        CR        4
473        黑兀鹫        Red-headed Vulture        CR        4
514        猎隼        Saker Falcon        EN        4

The size of the cover is about 12 x 18 cm.  So any paint larger than 12 x 12 cm will do.  We need to get your work (a scanned version such as a jpeg file) by December, so about 2.5 months left.  Please spread the word.  All of us work for this project as volunteer, successful entries will be rewarded with a complimentary copy.

Here is two examples  of field guide cover.

We do not restrict to the above list of species.
For example, the following species can be used as the cover for the booklet on Pheasant:
Golden Pheasant, Mrs. Hume's Pheasant
the Monals,
the Tragopans,
the Eared Pheasants.

I guess color paintings are better, but the painted birds do not need to be correct to every details.
Many traditional Chinese painters have a way to leave out details.

In that case, may I know the theme of the other three booklets, e.g. booklet 2 on duck I guess? and is there a complete list of the species included in the booklets?
In addition, is it expected that submission should be in a set of 4 (1 for each booklet)?
Thanks
