Good place to escape the summer heat. A short morning walk near the summit area yielded the following:

Vinous-throated Parrotbill x10


Brown-flanked Bush Warbler - 2 juveniles seen with numerous heard


Russet Bush Warbler x4 heard
Chinese Francolin x1 seen and numerous heard
Lesser Coucal heard
Plain Prinia
Yellow-bellied Prinia
Richard's Pipit x1
Hwamei
Silver-eared Mesia heard
Blue-winged Minla
Streak-breasted Scimitar Babbler heard
Lesser Shortwing heard

Thanks Dylan, the Parrotbills are hard to miss once you hear them, they move in small flocks and are usually quite noisy! Yes, it's the first time I heard Russet Bush Warblers up there this year. I went around 7am - 9am.
