An extremely good day for forest & farmland birds in fung yuen ........ more than 60 species were recorded in fung yuen.

I cannot imagine that such a good place will be built and developed for housing purpose in coming years. I also cannot imagine that how certain extent of pressure will be created and caused for the fung yuen wildlife. I am extremely worried about their future.

Chestnut-flanked White-eye - two different birds in large flock of Japanese White-eye, found at Koo Ka Yuen Garden (the end of fung yuen road)
Blyth's Leaf Warbler - one, first bird seen in 2007/08 winter
Verditer Flycatcher - one
Black-naped Monarch - four different birds

60 species can still be found in Fung Yuen area.
