This is a wonderful picture of a Bonelli's Eagle

I would be amazed if a Buzzard could catch a Rock Dove, but Bonelli's are much more effective hunters. You may be interested to know that their feet and claws (which they use to catch prey) have the widest spread for thier size of any bird.

Although a Buzzard was seen on the Bird Race by one team its pretty late now for Buzzard, while Bonelli's is a resident.

Great Photo!
I also saw 2 adults last Saturday.
At the period of time, they are around to breed or bred already. Just wonder if they have nest somewhere around.
