Can someone also recommend a book for HK Snakes (apart from the AFCD guide to Poisonous Snakes) please?

Burmese Python

Great picture, Sammy and Winnie !

A few years ago I saw a large snake in Pond 11, all the waterbirds were pecking at it...

Next time I think I'll take a small torch to Mai Po to check the hides before I go in. I wouldn't want to trip over one of these in the dark !

I think the birds are probably mobbing the python rather than welcoming it. They don't want to get eaten so they are making sure they know exactly where it is!
