Sandpiper ID - juvenile wood sandpiper?

Sandpiper ID - juvenile wood sandpiper?

Long Valley, 28 Oct 2008.
a vary pale sandpiper, size smaller than A wood sanpiper.
A juvenile one? or other smaller species?

for comparison, although the wood sandpiper is slighly closer, it looks considerably bigger.
