There are 496 in the last update in Aug(?) this year.  With the recent series of HK 1st record, Hong Kong is very close getting 500 species (cat A to D).

Recent possible new HK 1st include:
1. Dark-throated Thrush
2. Northern House Martin
3. Northern Goshawk (injured bird picked up in HK Island)
4. Emei Leaf Warbler

I understand that someof the above may not be accepted.  Anyway, we are very close to 500 species, and may be your next bird can be the 500th.
