HKBWS BBS 香 港 觀 鳥 會 新 聞 組    Discussion Area 討論區    Bird Identification 鳥類辨識 (Moderators: BBS Moderators, Yat-tung YU)    Birds in Jiuzhaigou 九寨溝的鳥 « Previous topic | Next topic » Pages: 1  Reply Send Topic Print    Author  Topic: Birds in Jiuzhaigou 九寨溝的鳥  (Read 665 times) me_domchan BBS Administrator I love bird watching!     Gender: Posts: 501 Birds in Jiuzhaigou 九寨溝的鳥 « on: Nov 9th, 2004, 4:50pm » Quote Modify Jiuzhaigou, Szechun   19/10/2004, 20/10/2004 10D, 100-400     ****Please help me to identify the birds' name, many many thanks*****     #1 This bird is standing quietly in the crowded and noisy Five-Flower Lake (五花海)  (A member of Thrushes?)     #2 The same bird     #3 This kind of bird is quite common in Jiuzhaivalley, often flying low over the river.  (Looks like some kind of thrushes)     #4 This bird jumped in fornt of me near Long Lake, around 3500m above sea level.....   #5 The back of this "crested" bird.       #6 A Female Mallard in Arrow Bamboo Sea, screaming to the tourists!     #7 Another common bird in Jiuzhaigou, it was eating the food residues on the road.     #8 The back of this bird       I have also seen a certain species of Crow, they have metallic blue feathers. Quite common in Jiuzhaigou and nearby forrest.     On my way in Jiuzhaigou, I saw many swifts of cetain kind flying in valleys.     p.s. To moderators: the name and location of these image files are tempoary, I will rename and relocate the files once I found the name of the birds. Could you mind transfer the file to HKBWS server later? They are (from top to bottom) Plumbeous Water Redstart, Riverchat, Grey-crested Tit, Mallard (you know already) and Eurasian Nuthatch.
