Unusual pipit today at Long Valley. Size larger than Red-throated or Olive-backed, intermediate between these and Richard's. Unstreaked buff coloured belly and flanks, light streaking on throat and chin. Pale eyering incomplete at back. Dark mark just below eye and larger dark mark below that. Two pale wing bars. Back, mantle and scapulars mid brown (not olive) with medium streaking. Bill pale with dark tip (see photo 2). Is it Buff-bellied? Photos taken with ordinary digital camera.

Looks like Richard's Pipit to me. It's certainly not Buff-bellied.
