Tsim Bei Tsui Outing Report 尖鼻咀觀鳥活動報告 13/4/2003

Although the weather of this morning was quite hot & dull, more than 40 people (including non-members, new & senior members) have joined the Tsim Bei Tsui Outing. The outing was started at 9:00am while the tide level was around 1.7m. Therefore, no wader was seen along the coast except egrets & 3 Gull-billed Terns (near the midway between HK & China).
Total 50 species were seen during the outing:-

101 White-breasted Waterhen 白胸苦惡鳥 (over 10 chits were seen)

Some enthusiastic birders even treaded on the drained fishpond for taking much clear and close-up photo of the Oriental Plover.
