You will come to a dead end road sourrounded by railings which is a little higher than the level of the path.   On the right just before the road are some tall dead bushes with a small path passing underneath them.  This brings you to the end of the stinky pond. Approach slowly as the Painted Snipe often hide very close to this corner.   You can also follow the path around the pond, which also attracts starlings and Wood Sandpipers.
