Call for bird records 2001-02

BIRD RECORDS FOR 2001 AND 2002
If you have any bird records from 2001 or 2002 that you wish to submit to the Society Records Committee for eventual inclusion in the Hong Kong Bird Report (HKBR), please could you do so soon. There are two kinds of records.
1. Records that are typical in terms of numbers, site, time of year and species. These can be entered into a simple Excel file with the column headings:
species no.
species name (both from the Avifauna)
date
number of birds
place
notes
observer name
2. Records that are unusual because of the species involved (see HKBR 1998 for a list of these), or because of the number of birds involved, the location or the time of year (check the Avifauna if you are unsure). There is a standard submission form which is available elsewhere on this website. If you have any problems, contact me, and I will email the form to you.
These files can be sent directly to me at geoffcarey@netvigator.com, preferably by the end of April.
