Most records of this month are about breeding summer birds from different parts of the mainland.   A couple of Chinese Crested Terns were recorded on the coast of Fujian province on June 4th and mating behavior was observed. (Li Xin)   Two juv. Grass Owls were found at Yellow River Delta N.R. on June 13th. The number of juv. was estimated to be 149. (FJBWS)   Four Golden Eagles including two juv. were found at Songshan N.R., Beijing on June 18th. Two Chinese Crested Terns were also observed there on the same day. (FJBWS)   Grey-sided Thrushes were reported throughout this month at Wulingshan, Hebei province, and at least two nests were found. Two Japanese Pygmy Woodpeckers were also recorded there.
