We collect January waterbird count each year through our national coordination network. The count data collected are published into reports and contributed to the conservation initiatives from local to internationally. For more information on the AWC please visit our website at http://www.wetlands.org/articlemenu.aspx?id=8fb450de-f760-42bb-8337-c994 2a41d5fc   The last AWC report includes information from 1997-2001 was published in 2004 and currently we are working on the AWC 2002-2004 report. To ensure that all the wintering waterbird count (mainly January data, December to February data may acceptable for some poorly known areas) during 2002-2004 to be included in the report, we would like to make this announcement to call your contribution. In case you have made wintering count during the 2002-2004 period but have not sent to the national coordinators, you may send the data to me directly for this urgent purpose. Our deadline (without further postpone) will be on 25 May 2006. Data received after the deadline will not be included in the AWC 2002-2004 report.
