這栗頭鳳眉鳥聽講係比較少有紀錄。唔知邊位前輩有record到呢種雀呢?

A very clear photo record!

I thought this species was originally restricted to NT especially in TPK, but I also got this record in the Lung Fu Shan area (near Pokfulam) on 23rd Jan, 2004.

The amount of species found in HK Island is somewhat out of my expectation.

I saw flocks of this species at Lun Fu Shan in 1999, and area near Sheung Shui KCR station in 1998.

Your records are very interesting. Why don't you submit them (if you haven't already) to the Society for inclusion in its database of HK bird records? As science graduates both, I'm sure you realise the value of data submission and storage...don't let them sit in your notebook!

The Excel file is available on the website. Newly revised to make it as simple as possible.

Cheers,

When can we see the 1999 bird report? I sent the record of this year long time ago.

As I reported a couple of weeks ago under the heading "Bird records for 2003" on the Bird Identification etc thread, the 1999 report has been combined with the 2000 report and is at an advanced state of production, while preparation of the 2001/02 combined report is also underway.

Those of us involved in report production want it to get back on track asap, but it's very hard doing this work on top of full-time jobs and family commitments. Writing the thing and ensuring quality right across the board takes a lot of time.

Although we are behind schedule we are catching up and need observers to play their part by submitting records on time.

Your effort in the report editing is much appreciated. We should be patient for this kind of voluntary services that are contributed by volunteers in the Society.

Don't give up.
