This morning i confirmed one more site for Plumbeous Redstart - the Lam Tsuen River  near the Hong Kong Yuen roundabout.

I saw a  female bird feeding on the bank between the road bridge and the foot bridge.

This site also had

Little Egret
White-breasted Waterhen
Common Sandpiper
Green Sandpiper
Common Kingfisher
Grey Wagtail 2
White Wagtail 3
Magpie Robin 3
Chinese Blackbird

Also Daurian Redstart and 80 Oriental Turtle Doves at Ng Tung Chai

Apologies for a typo: I should have written "Hong Lok Yuen Roundabout"

Incidentally,  it is interesting that all records of Plumbeous Redstart this winter are from streams in the Tolo harbour catchment area:

Chung Mei (Plover Cove Reservoir)
Wun Yiu (Tai Po)
Lam Tsuen (Tai Po)
Tai Lam Liu (Sha Tin)

Has anyone seen this species elsewhere this winter?

Other past sites for this species include: Hong Kong U, Shing Mun Stream, Ho Chung, and Shek Kong Catchment.

The male Plumbeous Redstart at Wun Yiu perched on  tree and sang with the female perching close by. Is this a breeding behaviour?

Kwan,

I attached the picture which male Plumbeous Redstart was singing. Note that when it sang, the tail was openning.
