Hi Bob,
Because you don't know the Chinese name of Owl means "Cat-head Hawk", Cherry is correct that there was a cat walking below the owl at that moment.
Sam is a Brown Fish Owl released by Kadoorie Farm. Jemi, John and I hoped that what we saw was not a released bird. Therefore we wanted to see whether it got a ring on leg. Luckily it was not Sam!
Bad Egg #1
在拍第4張照片時, 剛巧有一隻小花貓在褐魚鴞下面路過, 而鴞的俗名是貓頭鷹, 所以佢地相見如故!
阿Sam是嘉道理農場放飛的一隻褐魚鴞, 當日孔氏夫婦和小弟希望眼前的不是一隻放飛的雀鳥 (raw o的嘛!!), 因此我們一直留意其有否腳環, 幸好最後確認牠不是阿Sam!!

The owl's head does look like a Pekinese dog's head, doesnt it?
We also saw another species with a head like the owl.
Here are some shots.
牠的頭跟北京狗的頭
都幾相似喎,（口吾）似咩？
除了小花貓外, 也看見另一物種 同樣有貓頭 相。
