Nightmare to any computer users....
BTW, I also haven't backup my data since Dec 2004....

Yes, it is bad. I know that it can recover but don't make any defragment to your harddisk and don't write anything in your harddisk now. Bring your harddish to IT consultant who has some ways to recover in a limit.

Isaac, suggest you to do the backup asap, either an external hardisk (interim) and DVD (utlimate).
