Cabot's Tragopan ¶À¸¡¨¤¹n Tragopan caboti
Wuershan, Jiangxi, China ¤¤°ê¦¿¦èªZ¦i¤s¯ß¶À±^¤s

EOS-1D Mk II, EF500/4L ISO1600

It was one of the target birds for our birding trip to Wuershan.
Although we could see them 4 times during our 3 days visit (actually only one full day, one afternoon & one morning), each time they appeared in front of our car suddenly and then ran away to the forest very quickly. The longest period was just 2 minutes which a female Cabot's Tragopan with a juvenile were seen walking along the path.

Hi Forrest

This is a wonderful picture of a very tricky bird. I am interested to know more about Wu'er Shan.

Where is it, how high is it, what is the habitat type? Also what are the other target species there (e.g. Elliot's Pheasant)?

YTLT Pix also wonderful!

Cheers
