Title: Re: Birds in Jiuzhaigou 九寨溝的鳥 Post by Forrest FONG on Nov 9th, 2004, 11:01pm Hi Dominic, Before they are being identified, I think it is more appropriate to move the message temporary to this forum. Do you have the "中國鳥類野外手冊"? If yes, please read the plate no. 78, 86 & 87 for trying id them first. Regards, Forrest |

Title: Re: Birds in Jiuzhaigou 九寨溝的鳥 Post by Yat-tung YU on Nov 10th, 2004, 3:00am Hi Dominic, If you still plan to go to China for birdwatching in future, I do recommend you to buy the book and society office should still have a few copies! Anyway, I help you on the identification of these birds this time. They are (from top to bottom) Plumbeous Water Redstart, Riverchat, Grey-crested Tit, Mallard (you know already) and Eurasian Nuthatch. Except the Grey-crested Tit, you could find the other in the 'Birds of Hong Kong and South China'. Tung |
