Title: 長趾濱鷸 Long-Toed Stint ??
Post by Neil on Sep 7th, 2005, 9:56am
I had posted another photo of this bird in the Photos Section but I have been informed by a couple of people that it is a Long Toed Stint. If so I am very happy as it's a first for me.  Can anyone confirm?  Neil.

I agree that it is a Long-toed Stint - they often look like miniature Sharp-tailed Sandpipers.

However Sharpies are generally heavier-bodied, larger headed and shorter-necked.

Cheers
Mike

Thanks Mike. I had a good couple of days with the LTS and a Ruff both 'lifers' for me.  I have a Broadbilled Sandpiper in some of my distance photos but I I'm still going through them.Neil.
