I digiscoped this bittern at Pond 20b today from about 80meters. I was hoping for a Black Bittern but suspect a juvenile Little Green Heron. Any suggestions?Neil.

Olympus 7070wz plus Swarovski ATS80HD scope and 20-60x eyepiece and DCA adapter.

It looks like the juvenile of Black capped Night Heron. Do you have any other picture showing this?

I think this is a Juv. Striated Heron. The dark crown, yellow eyes and the spotted wing patterns suggests this is a Striated Heron. ;)
