Title: 灰林即鳥 Grey Bushchat ? Post by Andrew on Oct 29th, 2005, 3:12pm I took this at MPNR the same day as the Buzzard (21/10/05). It does not seem to have a yellowish base to the lower mandible and I wondered whether it might be Dark-sided flycatcher? http://upload.pbase.com/image/51431589.jpg TIA Andrew |

Title: Re: Flycatcher - Asian Brown or Dark-sided? Post by George_Ho on Oct 29th, 2005, 6:02pm I just guess could it be a female Grey Bushchat. It showed the white supercilium and forehead, dark face and ear-covert, complete dark bill, upperpart with washed-out brown, uppertail-coverts close to chestnut while contrast to the mantle, white throat and vent and grayish to brownish of the breast and belly. If it is a Dark-sided Flycatcher, it must obviously show brown wing-bar, dark gray on the mantle, short bill and the flycatcher’s habit. |
