Mai Po Nature Reserve 米埔自然保護區
2005-10-29

Is it a pied harrier again as my previous post on 15/10/2005 (http://www.hkbws.org.hk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=PhotoGallery;action=display;num=1129388552)? I made this guess from its barred tail.

No, it is a typical juvenile Eastern Marsh harrier

Paul, I'm learning a lot from your comments - maybe you should do a raptor masterclass sometime. It makes me wonder about the accuracy of past records, including no doubt my own!
