Title: Re: Unsure goshawk on Lamma? Post by Mike Kilburn on Dec 9th, 2005, 9:53am This is a classic Crested Goshawk pose - the fluffy white undertail coverts make identification relatively straightforward. Often the undertail coverts are fluffed out like this when the bird is displaying - short flicking wingbeats followed by a short glide, and then the short flicking wingbeats again. Cheers Mike K |
