Title: Re: Please help ID Post by miket on Aug 21st, 2006, 9:30pm It's a Common Redshank. Although the upper-tail, upper-tail covert and rear flank markings vaguely resemble a Dowitcher's, those are the only similarities. Long-billed Dowitchers have shorter, greenish legs and a longer bill (also greenish at the base), plus a longer clearer supercilium, for example. Mike Turnbull. |
