I think it's taken in North Amercia.

Don't think it was taken in N. America north of the US/Mexico border - it's obviously a hummingbird btw - but really this kind of query would be better directed to another place. Our expertise is in HK, China and Asian birds primarily.

Hi Minna,
If photo was taken in the USA then probably is a Rufous Hummingbird.

Yes, I agree on closer examination I think it probably is a Rufous Hummingbird, which does of course occur in the NW US and right up the Canadian west coast.

Just found out from my friend that the photo was taken in California. So, it should be a Rufous Hummingbird, right?
