Title: Re: Spoon-billed Sandpiper Post by Roef Mulder on Mar 26th, 2003, 8:59pm Some additional info; today there were a lot more waders than the previous days; besides the Spoonbilled there were 2 Sharptaileds, 2 Tereks, 1 Turnstone, 3 Sanderling, c150 Greater Sand & 1 Lesser Sand Plover, c30 Redneckeds and many Great Knots. Also 5 Little Terns. Yesterday the (wntering) Nordmanns Greenshank was at the scrape, very close! Also at least 2 Long-billed Dowitchers and 2 Oriental Pratincoles. The number of BFSpoonbills at the scrape has risen to 150 this afternoon, they will migrate further very soon probably. Roef |
