Title: Black-necked Grebe at Mai Po Post by Mike Kilburn on Nov 6th, 2003, 11:59pm This afternoon (Thursday 6th Nov) at Mai Po a winter-plumaged Black-necked Grebe was on the back of Pond 20 (seen from the tall green hide). This is the same species which appeared last winter at Lok Ma Chau. Also four Saunders' Gulls were present and lots of BF Spoonbills. Cheers Mike |

Title: Re: Black-necked Grebe at Mai Po Post by Uncle_Tall on Nov 11th, 2003, 9:54pm It's still there today. Interesting bird indeed. Unfortunately camera ran out of battery and digiscoping was not too satisfactory to capture this active birdie in a hazzy morning. http://community.webshots.com/s/image4/0/38/78/99503878OESCpi_ph.jpg http://www.hkbws.org.hk/fileServer/PhotoG/uncletall/uncletallbngrebe01.jpg Maipo 11/11/03 |
