Hello Apache ;D ... I also go Mount Davis regularly and found that there are 3 "hot spots" ..

(1) the first junction up the Davis Path where water channel runs down from the right hand side .. This spot is adjacent to the construction site but is always occupied by wagtails, bluetails, pipits or thrushes (in suitable seasons)..

(2) the hillside adjacent to the first resting area on the way to the youth hostel .. may spot flycatchers and Emerald Dove here ..

(3) the little trail on the left hand side of the second resting area on the way .. 90% can find pipits and other extraordinary species here ..  :D

Could you share with us the route you take or .. to make it easy ... where did you see those birds as mention in your earlier message ?  :o Thx
