Mai Po Nature Reserve 米埔自然保謢區
Around 62+ participants

The weather was sunny and almost without cloud, most of the participants felt very happy when they saw 12 Northern Lapwing flying and landing on the pond.
Total 56 species were seen during the outing in our record. We are welcome all the participants to add any missing count.

We went to the Boardwalk after the tide has moved out. Apache's group went there earlier and were lucky enough to witness the taking of an avocet by a Peregrine Falcon - see posting by Yuichi:

Birdwatching from the hide. The birds were very far away but someone reported seeing a hoopoe!

Red Coreid bugs (Leptocoris sp.? 台灣譯名:叉紋赤星椿象) under a leaf - the pattern on their back looks like the shield on a Swiss army knife.
