Title: Excellent Outing at Tai Mo Shan 大霧山觀鳥活動報告

Dear members,

There were about 36 members joined the Tai Mo Shan outing on 6 June. The weather was cloudy but cool so the walk up was very pleasant. We have had a excellent birding record today and thanks very much for the experienced members' kind help and support.

Please find the list below:
1) Chinese Babax x2.
2) Chinese Francolin x2.
3) Upland Pipit x2.
4) Large Grass Warbler x1.
5) Vinous-Throated Parrotbill 吪7+.
6) Mountain Bush Warbler (heard x2+).
7) Lesser Shortwing ( heard x2 ).
8) Richards Pipit x4.
9) Large Hawk Cuckoo ( heard x1 ).
10) Rufous-Necked Scimitar Babbler ( heard x1 ).
11) Greater Coucal x1.
12) Pekin Robin x1.
13) Silver-eared Mesia x1.
14) Jungle Crow x1.
15) Violet Whistling Thrush x1.
16) Hwamei ( heard x3+ ).
17) Plain Prinia x3+.
18) Yellow-bellied Prinia x2+.
19) Black Kite x2.
20) House Swift x10+.
21) Barn Swallow x 5+.
22) Tree Sparrow x2+.

Thanks to Peter and Michelle (the leaders of this outing) for sharing their birding experience; because it is very challenging to bird at Tai Mo Shan, most birds here are very shy and elusive!
