Title: ~Mountain Bulbul juvenile in TPK~大埔滘有綠翅短腳鵯幼鳥 Post by George_Ho on Aug 4th, 2004, 7:50pm At least one independent Mountain Bulbul juvenile have been seen at Blue Walk today . The bird have short crest and brownish belly and breast . It also have light yellow on the vent . The wing-coverts and the tail are green . One hour later , i have also seen two adult Mountain Bulbul at Blue Walk . It seems like that Mountain Bulbul are turely develop in Hong Kong . Also , two Grey-cheeked Fulvetta have been spotted in 'Babblers Wave' at Blue Walk today . The 'Babblers Wave' included Rufous-capped Babbler, Streak-breasted Scimitar Babbler , White-bellied Yuhina , Red-billed Leiothrix , Silver-eared Mesia and Blue-winged Minla . |

Title: Re: ~Mountain Bulbul juvenile in TPK~ Post by Koel_Ko on Aug 6th, 2004, 10:09am Just to add to the fun of it, earlier there were 1 juvenile, 2 female Hainan Blue Flycatcher 2 juvenile Cuckoos calling, probably Large Hawk Cuckoo, for the readers to judge: - greyish face - ruddy crown and mantle - greyish, short and fine bill - bristles - large dark eyes with huge yellow eye ring - mottled brown breast - lower belly barred black on whitish - long tail - call: "tseeeeeeeeee; ... ; tseeeeeeeee; ..." |
