Title: Re: Po Toi 蒲台 autumn 2005 秋 Post by cywong on Sep 12th, 2005, 8:35pm I think this is the single White-winged Tern that turned up yesterday. Please correct me if I am wrong. It's a pity that the lighting condition was poor when it appeared. http://www.hkbws.org.hk/fileServer/PhotoG/cywong/cywong_024.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v191/cywong/5c966cad.jpg http://www.hkbws.org.hk/fileServer/PhotoG/cywong/cywong_025.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v191/cywong/7802de55.jpg |

Title: Re: Po Toi 蒲台 autumn 2005 秋 Post by little_dolphin on Sep 12th, 2005, 10:02pm I saw something that resembled a peregrine falcon on Po Toi yesterday. The bird had pointed wings and a narrow, not-too-long or too-short rectangular tail. The upper side was dark. However, the underside was dark too, hence I doubted if it really were a peregrine, but perhaps that's the shadow beneath the bird. The bird was a bit smaller than a black kite soaring nearby. It soared high above the beach on Po Toi. Did anyone else saw that bird? Many thanks. |
