A dead barred buttonquail was discovered in Cityone Shatin next to the swimming pool this morning (13/10/05).

Any clue to the cause of death, e.g. flying into glass? ???

Is there any chance of getting the skin? It may be possible to make a specimen out of it. This would help better ID the bird in the field in the future.

I was hurrying back to work. So Auntie Handkerchief asked the security to call AFCD to collect the corpse. Just in case it may have Avian Flu. :-[
