On Saturday,12 Nov.05 I was on my morning excercise on the hills east of Tuen Mun . From dense scrub a typical Tu Wit Tuwu sounded. The calls were repeated 6 to 7 times.ALmost immediately Another Bird call was heard to my left which I could not ID. It was loud with varied notes. Yesterday, 20/11/05 at 10.30 am at a lower elevation ,the second call was again heard from the same dense shrub vegetation. Checking Mullarney's Birds of Europe The call was a good fit for the Tawny Owl song. Contact me through HKBWS if more details or Excursion required.
