Title: Re: Sha Kok Mei 沙角尾 Post by miket on May 7th, 2006, 3:09pm I birded nearby this area mid morning today, though a bit higher up (nearer to Nam Shan, and along the Po Lo Che Road). I had almost exactly the same birds, though also several Grey Treepies (heard only), Hwamei, Chestnut Bulbul and Pacific Swift. Mike Turnbull |

Title: Re: Sha Kok Mei 沙角尾 Post by ck151062 on May 8th, 2006, 9:23am Hi Mike, Yes, those birds are resident along the catachwater road of Po Lo Che Road, it is one of my favouriate birds/bike road, actually I am biking along this road every morning, sometimes the birds are even fly with you. The sadness is those area are under great pressure in development (especially Ting house), I am happy what Andrew did in Ho Chung so I can focus on this area. This area not only good for birds but also butterfly (Birdwing, more than 40species) and Dragonfly (33 species), you can come to visit my website for more details. http://www.redbuilding.com/ilmp/ Regards, Stanley |
